The petitioner has filed an application for grant of permit, afresh, for the second time, on 13th August, 2024. The same is yet to be considered by the respondent State Transport Authority.

representation, has also been submitted by him, that is, dated 2nd September, 2024. That is also yet to be considered by the respondent authority. The petitioner, in this case, seeks consideration of his application for grant of permit.

Mr. Nandi, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner has indicated that earlier, petitioner's application was approved at one point of time and an offer letter dated 6th April, 2023, was issued to him. However, admittedly, the validity thereof has expired

without the petitioner having placed the vehicle. Now, that the petitioner has submitted a fresh application, as mentioned above and he prays an order directing the respondent to immediately consider the same. Mr. Sen, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State respondent submits that the application of the petitioner dated 13th August, 2024, may be directed to be considered by the respondent authority, however, without any reference to his previous application.

Having heard the learned advocates and perusing the records, it is found prudent to dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent State Transport Authority/Respondent no.2 to consider the petitioner's application (online) dated 13th August, 2024, within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The decision thereof, would be intimated to the writ petitioner within one week from the date of order passed by the respondent no.2.

The writ petition is allowed and disposed of. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, shall be supplied to the parties, on compliance of usual formalities.
