It appears from the Report that the CESC Limited is ready and willing to provide an electricity connection to the petitioner on terms and conditions morefully stipulated in the Report. However, the private respondent being a local club has raised objections to such connection being granted and submit that there is an alternative route for installation of such electricity connection. It is an admitted fact that the petitioner has been waiting for a period of 15 years for a separate and independent electricity connection.

In such circumstances, keeping in view the objection raised by the private respondent, WPA 24365 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the District Magistrate, Howrah to consider the grievance of the petitioner after hearing all the three parties i.e. the petitioner, the CESC Limited and the private respondents.

Let such exercise be completed positively within six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

It is made clear that there has been no adjudication on the merits of the case and all issued are left open for the District Magistrate, Howrah to decide in accordance with law.

It is fairly submitted by the private respondent that there is an alternative viable route for providing such electricity connection which has not been considered by the CESC Limited. The District Magistrate, Howrah is also directed to consider this aspect of the matter.
