1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. Petitioner participated in the selection process for being appointed as Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (for short, CAPFs). At the time of physical test height of the petitioner was measured 162 cm. whereas it is submitted by the learned advocate representing the petitioner that requisite height for being declared eligible to be appointed as Constable (GD) is 162.5 cm. in case of Scheduled Tribe candidate.

3. It is also contended that petitioner preferred an appeal questioning measurement of height made by the authority and same is yet to be decided.

4. Union of India is represented by learned advocate who has submitted that petitioner

made delay in preferring appeal as a result whereof steps could not be taken.

Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties and taking note of the fact that the appeal was preferred by the petitioner questioning measurement of height as taken on 30th August, 2025, Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), (Recruitment Board) being respondent no. 5 is directed to decide the appeal of the petitioner by taking measurement of height by fortnight from the date of communication of this order and the decision of the appellate authority on measurement of height shall be communicated to the petitioner by 10 days thereafter.

6. If in appeal height of the petitioner is measured which makes the petitioner eligible to be considered for appointment in the post of Constable (GD) consequential steps shall be taken for appointment of the petitioner.

7. Writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
