2. The petitioner claims that Bardhaman Sadar Police Station has not taken any steps in respect of the complaint dated 6th September, 2022 against the private respondents for cheating.

3. This Court is of the view that the petitioner has effective remedy under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure and also under the civil law against the private respondents.

4. Reserving liberty to the petitioner as indicated hereinabove, the instant writ petition is disposed of.

5. There will be no order as to costs.

6. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
