Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of complaint being addressed to the Inspectorin-Charge, Canning Police Station on 02.09.2024, no action has been taken in respect of the hazard, harassment and threat of life faced by him at the instance of the private respondents.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that pursuant to the complaint received from the writ petitioner, namely, Brihaspati Mondal, Canning P.S. No.662 of 2024 dated 23.09.2024 has been registered for investigation.

Learned advocate for the private respondents denies and disputes the allegations.

However, without going into the other issues and factual disputes, since the primary grievance of the petitioner which has been addressed in the writ petition has been taken care of by the police authorities, I am of the view that at present there is no issue to adjudicate. In the circumstances, I direct that since the investigation has commenced, the investigating authorities will take the investigation to its logical conclusion.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 24304 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report submitted by the learned advocate for the State be kept with the record.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
