1. The affidavit of service is taken on record.

2. The prayer in the writ petition is a direction on the District Magistrate, Purulia to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 16th September, 2022 in respect of work done by the petitioner for construction of concrete road in Purulia in 2018. The representation gives particulars of the additional work and claims Rs.88,17,594/- which the petitioner says was not released despite several demands made to the concerned respondents.

3. W.P.A.23703 of 2022 is accordingly disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.2 being the District Magistrate, Purulia to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 16th September, 2022 by passing a reasoned order by 5th

June, 2023. The petitioner shall be heard by the concerned respondent before passing the reasoned order and a copy of reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner by 9th June, 2023.

4. Although learned counsel appearing for the State submits that the District Magistrate, Purulia is entitled to take the limitation plea on the amount, this court is of the view that such plea is also due to the inaction on the part of the respondent to release the aforesaid amount within the stipulated time.
