The matter relates to compassionate appointment.

Perused the report filed by the District Panchayat & Rural Development Officer, South 24-Parganas dated 4th May, 2024. It appears therefrom that the police verification report of the petitioner remains incomplete because the school leaving certificate of the petitioner could not be verified from the school. The certificate relied upon by the petitioner, allegedly issued from the school authority, was not available with the school. The District Panchayat & Rural Development Officer, South 24-Parganas is directed to allow the petitioner to rely upon other contemporaneous document in support of his date of birth and educational qualification.

In the event the petitioner is able to produce contemporaneous authentic documents by 28th June, 2024, then the case of the petitioner will be proceeded

for issuance of appointment letter in his favour, provided there is no further impediment in issuing the same.

If the petitioner fails to produce any further authentic document in support of his date of birth and educational qualification, then the petitioner will lose his chance to be appointed on compassionate ground. The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
