Mr. Prosenjit Mukherjee Ms. Tiyasa Ghosh ..for the Petitioners Mr. Suman Sengupta Mr. D. Basu Mallick ... for the State Affidavit of service filed by the petitioners is taken on record.

The private respondent is not represented despite service.

The sole prayer of the petitioners is a direction upon the police authority to complete the investigation expeditiously and submit charge sheet. The petitioners allege that an amount of Rs.24,95,485/- has been defalcated by the private respondent who is the former headmaster of Itinda Union High School.

Learned counsel for the State submits that investigation is in progress and final report shall be submitted upon completion of investigation within the time frame stipulated in the BNSS.

In view of the above, police authority is directed to conduct the investigation in a fair, impartial and unbiased manner and take the same to its logical conclusion, in accordance with law.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
