None appeared to represent the petitioner. On 19th February, 2025 the writ petition being WPA 25360 of 2017 was restored after the writ petition was dismissed for default on 16th July, 2024.

The learned Registrar Administration (L & OM) is to intimate the concerned police station to serve notice upon the petitioner intimating the next date of hearing through the concerned police station and file a compliance report to that effect on the returnable date.

The learned Registrar Administration (L & OM) is to intimate the concerned police station to serve notice upon the office of Ministry of law and justice, Department of Legal Affairs, Branch Secretariat, Kolkata, at 11, strand Road, Kolkata 700001 to engage an advocate to represent the respondents/Union of India and file a compliance report to that effect on the returnable date. Let the matter be fixed on 30th April, 2025.

Copy of the order be sent to the Department and the office of the learned Registrar Administration ( L & OM) for due compliance.
