The petitioner claims to be the secretary of a puja committee and prays that the requisite permission be given by the authorities so that the Durga Puja could be organized in the year 2024 within the premises of Chak Bhabani Harijon Primary School. For the last two years the application vide on-line mode was rejected as prior permission could not be uploaded.

It is a fact that the petitioner had been organizing the puja in a small scale but no formal permission had been given for such puja. This year, the petitioner wants to organize the puja in a larger scale and once again applied before the authority for necessary permission.

The petitioner is granted liberty to approach the Sub-Divisional Officer, Egra, Purba Medinipur within October 4, 2024, physically with a copy of the application and a copy of the order.

The respondent no. 8 shall decide whether the permission should be given to the petitioner for such puja between October 7, 2024 to October 13, 2024, in the school ground, upon the petitioner furnishing a 'No Objection' from the school.

If the prayer of the petitioner is refused, necessary reasons shall be given within October 7, 2024. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
