Roy ... for the Petitioner(s) Ms. Shaila Afrin Ms. Manasi Roy ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the there is a long standing dispute existing between the family members of the petitioner and that of the private opposite party. Consequent to which, the petitioner has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case. It has also been contended that the petitioner is in custody for about eight months, but, till date, only chargesheet has been submitted and there is no progress in the case.

Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, submits that charges would be framed in connection with the instant case.

Having considered the stage of the case, I am of the view that this is not a fit case to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

However, I direct that immediate steps be taken for completion of the evidence of the minors as has been stated in Section 35 of the POCSO Act.

The petitioner would be at liberty to approach this court immediately after the evidence of the minors is completed.

Accordingly, CRM(M) 1856 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
