Affidavit of service filed by the petitioners and report submitted by the State are taken on record.

Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioners are admittedly the owners of the residential house in question. They allege that they are not able to enter the residential house due to threat perception at the instance of the private respondents who are local villagers.

It appears from the report submitted by the State that the petitioners are the owners of the residential house. Though the private respondents claim title in respect of the said property, no step has been taken by them in this regard.

Since the petitioners are owners of the property and intend to reside therein, the police authority shall provide

adequate assistance to the petitioners in order to enable them to enter the property and reside therein. The petitioners shall inform the police authority about the date and time of their intending to return to the property in order to enable the authority to render necessary assistance. The police authority shall also ensure the safety and security of the petitioners.

With the above directions and observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
