The petitioner was an approved Headmaster of a Secondary School.

He retired from his service on superannuation on January 31, 2021 and has received the retiral benefits on August 17, 2021.

The petitioner is praying interest on the amount he has received so far towards his retiral benefits on the ground of delay in its disbursement. The delay, as alleged is not too long for which negligence can be attributed to the concerned authority warranting payment of interest on the amount of such retiral benefits.

W.P.A. 23760 of 2022 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
