Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the grievance of the petitioner has been addressed presently as the petitioner and her husband are happily married and is staying within the jurisdiction of Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate.

However, the petitioner apprehends that there may be unforeseen circumstances considering that their marriage was not acceptable to certain sections of the society. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the subject-matter of the writ petition has been addressed and at present the situation is such that no criminal case is required to be registered.

Considering the factual circumstances of the case, I direct that in the event any unforeseen circumstances arise and the petitioner and/or her husband approach the jurisdictional police station for assistance, the police authorities would render appropriate assistance to the present petitioner

and/or her husband and would not be made a victim of societal grudge.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 24373 of 2024 is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
