Report submitted by the State be kept with the record. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 535 days and till date the evidence has not commenced.

Learned advocate for the State submits that charges have already been framed and the trial of the case would commence very soon. Steps would be taken by the prosecution to expedite the case. In view of the period of detention of the present petitioner, I direct the learned trial court to complete the evidence of the victim within the next 60 days from the next date so fixed. Petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid time period is over.

At this stage, the bail application of the petitioner in CRM(M) 1855 of 2025 is dismissed.

State is directed to communicate this order to the learned trial court.
