Mr. Satyajit Mandal, Mr. Amar Nath Sen, Mr. Ratul Ghosh ...for the petitioners Mr. Mahendra Prasad Gupta ...for the State-respondents The limited grievance of the petitioners is that no certified copy of a deed, presented by the petitioner for registration, is being supplied to the petitioners, apparently on the ground that the stamp papers, on which the document was executed, were forged. Learned counsel appearing for the respondentauthorities, in his usual fairness, submits that there is no difficulty in furnishing such certified copy upon the petitioners depositing an amount equivalent to the value of such forged stamp papers.

Accordingly, W.P.A. No. 21872 of 2019 is disposed of by directing respondent no. 6 to supply a certified copy of the deed presented by the petitioners for registration, upon an application being made by the

petitioners in proper form for obtaining such certified copy and on payment of appropriate fees for the same, along with an amount equivalent to the aggregate value of the stamp papers originally used for the purpose of executing the said instrument.

The respondent no. 6 shall issue such certified copy as expeditiously as possible after all the requisites, as directed above, are deposited by the petitioners. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
