In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise. Criminal Proceeding being G.R. case no. 3306 of 2016 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jangipur, Murshidabad be quashed.

The petitioners are set at liberty at once and discharged from their bail bonds The revisional application and the application being CRAN 1 of 2024 are disposed of.
