The petitioner is a retired employee of Calcutta State Transport Corporation. He claims that he was engaged as a conductor-cum-Helper in CSTC on 16th January, 2004 on contract basis and he retired on attaining his age of superannuation on 31st January, 2025.

He alleges that he has not been paid full pension. A legal representation on behalf of the petitioner is pending consideration at the end of the respondent authority.

None represents the Calcutta State Transport Corporation.

In the absence of the authority, it will not be possible for the Court to decide the issue conclusively.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the respondent No. 4/the Chief Accounts Officer-cumFinancial Advisor of the Calcutta State Transport

Corporation to take a decision on the petitioner's legal representation, strictly in accordance law at the earliest and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. The reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioner. 7.

If the prayer of the petitioner is allowed, then necessary consequential steps for releasing the due amount shall be taken without any further delay. 8.

A copy of the legal representation dated 13th August, 2025 shall be forwarded to the respondent No. 4 at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

It is made clear that this Court has not entered into the merits of the claim of the petitioner and all points are left open to be decided by the aforesaid respondent at the time of consideration of the representation.

Leave is granted to the advocate on record to the petitioner to amend the description of the respondent No. 4 in the cause-title of the writ petition.

The writ petition is disposed of.
