Despite service no one appears on behalf of the State.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits as follows. The private respondents had come up with illegal construction over Government land near the petitioner's property. Accordingly, the petitioner made a representation dated 02.09.2024 before the concerned authorities including the Sub-divisional Officer, Haldia, Durgachak, Purba Medinipur for acting in terms of the West Bengal Public Land (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1962. But, the representation has not been responded to as yet.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the private respondents denies the allegation.

It appears that the representation of the petitioner dated 02.09.2024 is pending consideration.

In view of the above, let the respondent no.3 consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.09.2024 in accordance with law and upon hearing all the interested parties as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

It is made clear that the merits of the case have not been gone into.

With the above observations, WPA 24471 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on urgent basis after completion of all necessary formalities.
