The petitioner's prayer seeking two additional increments on acquiring Ph.D degree is pending consideration before the District Inspector of Schools (SE), South 24 Parganas.

After hearing the parties and without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition stands disposed of directing the concerned DI of Schools to take a decision on the prayer made by the petitioner forwarded through the school authority in accordance with the relevant Rules at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner.

It will be open for the DI of Schools to grant opportunity of hearing to all necessary parties prior to passing the final decision in the matter. 4.

Instructions furnished in Court by the DI of Schools (SE), South 24 Parganas dated 13th November, 2025 be taken on record.
