The West Bengal State Electricity Board and Anr.

1. The instant writ petition has been filed by the writ petitioner praying, inter alia, to direct upon the concerned respondent authority to forthwith prepare and send the bills month by month on the basis of actual recording in meter and adjust the excess amount paid by the petitioner from the month of July, 2006 to September, 2006 with the future bills.

2. None appears on behalf of the petitioner on call. No accommodation is sought for.

3. This case pertains to the year 2006. Almost 19 years have already passed.

4. Considering the nature of prayer and long pendency of this case, it seems that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing the instant case anymore either because the purpose of filing the writ petition has been resolved or that the petitioner abandoned its

prayer due to passage of time and/or that it has become infructuous.

5. In view of the above facts, the instant writ petition being WPA 24759 of is dismissed without any order as to costs.

6. Consequently, the connected application, if any, is also, thus, disposed of.

7. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

8. All parties shall act in terms of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

9. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties taking all legal formalities.
