The petitioner is an Assistant Professor in Economics at Calcutta Girls' College, Kolkata. The petitioner has prayed for consideration of her prayer for leave appearing at page 78 of the writ petition. Mr. Bihani, learned advocate representing the College submits that though the petitioner is on unauthorised leave since January, 2023, in compliance of the interim order passed by this Court on October 16, 2023, her arrear salary has been paid up to October 31,

2023. The petitioner, however, did not join the College despite the order dated October 16, 2023.

Mr. Ghosal, learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that due to some personal problems and owing to illness of her daughter, the petitioner could not join the College. The petitioner intimated the said facts to the Principal of the College.

In view of the above facts, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction upon the College to consider the prayer for leave made by the petitioner by the representation dated 27th July, 2023 in accordance with law. The prayer of the petitioner should be considered by the College in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 23602 of 2023 is disposed of. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
