Kundu ... ... for the State Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the statement of the victim girl suffers from various contradictions.

Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Victim girl gave explanation why she was unable to come out with the allegation of rape earlier. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected in July, 2022. Vulnerable witness is yet to be examined. Under such circumstances, we do not consider it prudent to release the petitioner on bail at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.
