CRR No. 4222 of 2024 In Re: Amit Paul Mr. Neel Chakraborty Ms. Anushka Ghosh Mr. Soumya Sarkar ... For the Petitioner Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of G.R. no. 1377/15 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-II, Kalyani, Nadia the matter may be considered without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. It appears from the record that the case was registered in 2015. Cognizance of charge-sheet was taken on 19th October, 2015. Charge was framed on 27th November, 2018. Evidence is yet to commence. Date for evidence has been fixed on 9th December, 2025.

In view of the age of the proceeding, learned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within six months from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. The revisional application is disposed of.
