Case No. 227 of 2019 under The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act of 2005") particularly the application under Section 23 of the Act of 2005 the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. This Court is informed that the application filed by the petitioner under Section 23 of the Act of 2005 is yet to be considered.

In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to consider and dispose of the said application under Section 23 of the Act of 2005 within 2 months from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. The learned trial Court shall make all endeavours to dispose of the proceedings as expeditiously as possible, in any event not later than one year from the date of disposal of the application under Section 23 of the Act of 2005.

With the above observations and directions the instant revisional application being CRR No. 4229 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
