Dismissed that the petitioner is in custody for 5 years 1 month and the petitioner was mentally unstable and has been very recently being declared to be fit, as such, trial has commenced and since the last rejection only one witness has been examined. Learned advocate for the State submits that the delay in the trial is because of absence of the present petitioner. However, the prosecution would examine 18 witnesses. The examination of P.W.3 is in progress. It is also submitted that there are antecedents and five other criminal cases pending against the petitioner. Having regard to the trial being commenced and P.W.3 being examined, I direct the learned court to expedite the process of

trial. All efforts be taken so that the witnesses are made available on the date so fixed. The learned trial court will not grant any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties. The trial of the case would continue in spite of any resolution of the local bar. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1917 of 2025 is dismissed at this stage.
