After filing of the charge-sheet under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, the accused persons being the husband and other matrimonial relations have come forward by filing the instant application praying for quashing of the charge-sheet. In course of hearing it is pointed out by the learned Advocate for the petitioner that on 29th November, 2021 the Inspector-in-Charge filed a petition praying for passing necessary order disposing of the case as the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled.

In view of such circumstances, the petitioners are advised to file a joint petition for compromise in the Trial Court. The learned Magistrate shall frame charge against the accused persons and examine the de facto complainant. If the learned Magistrate finds after examining the de facto complainant that there is no necessity for further proceeding he shall pass necessary order under Section 248 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The instant revision is, thus, disposed of with the above direction.
