Dutta Mr. Karan Bapuli ... for the State-respondent(s) The petitioner is in custody for 116 days and it has been submitted that he is innocent of the charges. Learned advocate further submits that the petitioner was a driver of a Tractor of one Akbar Ali and he has been falsely implicated in the case. According to the learned advocate, one Atabur is the principal accused who has a dispute relating to supply of stone chips with said Akbar Ali. According to the learned advocate, the petitioner is innocent of the charges and has been implicated on vague issues. Learned advocate for the State submits that the accused Atabur was absconding, but very recently, he has been arrested on 9th November, 2025. However, the investigation of the case is in progress, according to the learned advocate for the State.

Having considered the fact that further investigation is in progress presently, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

However, the petitioner would be at liberty to approach this court after the supplementary charge-sheet is submitted before the jurisdictional trial court Accordingly, CRM(M) 1922 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
