Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner was initially appointed as a Group-D staff. Subsequently, he was promoted from Book Binder to Librarian. There is a dispute regarding his pay fixation. Accordingly the petitioner made a representation on 28.2.2024 before the respondent No. 3 being the District Library Officer, Malda. But, the same has not been responded to as yet. Learned counsels appearing for the respondent No. 3 and the State submit that in the event a representation is pending consideration, the same would be considered expeditiously and in accordance with law.

It appears that the representation dated 28.2.2024 is pending consideration.

In view of the same, the respondent No. 3 is requested consider the said representation in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. As no affidavit was called for, the allegations made are deemed not to have been admitted.
