The Station Manager, Kandi Customer Care Centres did not link the meter to the consumer ID of the petitioner.

The bill for the actual consumption of electricity, as recorded in the said meter, had not been claimed from the petitioner allegedly due to a bona fide mistake. Such billing dispute is already before the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer. The Regional Grievance Redressal Officer shall dispose of the dispute upon hearing all the parties, within a month from the date of communication of this order.

No coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner till such decision is arrived at.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
