Petitioner is a retired pensioner who is bothered by the manner in which his pension account was made inoperative. The petitioner received information because of certain fraudulent transactions taking place involving his account. The police authorities took steps for stopping the operation of the account.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the writ petition being preferred before this Court, the account is operating and the petitioner is able to transact in the said account. However, the petitioner is anxious regarding the pendency of the investigation.

Mr. Ahmed, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that investigation of Baruipur Cyber Crime Police Station Case No. 11 of 2024 dated 25.06.2024 is in progress.

In view of the investigation progressing and materials being collected by the investigating agency, I direct that the investigation be taken to its

logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 24555 of 2024 is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
