.... petitioners Mr. Malay Bhattacharya ....for the petitioners Mr. Imran Ali, Ms. Sima Biswas ..... for the State Mr. Bhattacharya, learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that due to the pandemics the petitioners could not appear before the learned Court below within the period as directed by the order passed on 2nd December, 2019. After the pandemic situation normalised, the petitioners filed the present application in the month of December, 2021 praying for extension of time to appear before the learned Court below and to pray for regular bail. He further submits that upon completion of investigation chargesheet has also been submitted in the meantime. Ms. Biswas, learned advocate enters appearance on behalf of the State.
Upon hearing the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and considering the averments made in the application, we are satisfied with the explanation given towards the inability of the petitioners to appear before the learned Court below within the period as directed in the order dated 2nd December, 2019.
In view thereof, the time to surrender before the learned Court below and to pray for regular bail is extended for a period of two weeks from date.
The application being CRAN 1 of 2021 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned advocates for the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
