Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 120 days and the petitioner happens to be one of the shareholder directors of one Rituraj Hotel wherein fire was set in and subsequently case has been registered by the police station. Learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

Having considered the offences complained of and the locus of the present petitioner, I am of the opinion that further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed.

Accordingly, the petitioner viz., Atul Chawla shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-, with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM-I, Calcutta. If on bail, the petitioner, if he intends to visit abroad, he shall not leave the country without the permission of the learned court in seisin of the case.

The petitioner shall also be physically present on each and every date so fixed by the learned Trial Court. The application for bail, being CRM (M) 1913 of 2025, is, thus, disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
