Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 720 days and no incriminating materials appeared against the petitioner in course of investigation as also no evidence surfaced from the two witnesses who have already been examined in this case; petitioner is innocent of the charges and he may be released on bail on any stringent conditions.

Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there are overwhelming materials.

However, having regard to the stage of the case, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

State is directed to complete the evidence of substantial number of witnesses within a period of six months from date.

Petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court after the aforesaid period of six months is over tentatively after 15th May, 2026.

The application for bail, being CRM (M) 2055 of 2025, is, thus, disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
