Petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that their information which was furnished on 22.03.2024 with the Officer-in-Charge, Berhmapore Police Station has not been acted upon.

Learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report of Inspector-in-Charge, Berhampore Police Station which reflects that the said information dated 22.03.2024 furnished by the petitioners was diarized as GDE No.2472 dated 31.03.2024. Subsequently, the complaint of the present petitioner no.2, Kanailal Das Majumder was considered and a case being Berhampore Police

Station Case No.1471 of 2024 dated 28.09.2024 was registered for investigation.

In view of the aforesaid, the primary grievance of the petitioners has been addressed. Police authorities would investigate and conduct the investigation and take the same to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 24627 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for both the parties. Report submitted by the learned advocate for the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
