Prasun Kumar Maity v. State Of West Bengal And ORS.
01.03.2023 (I.No.38) Ct.-18 (P.Jana) W.P.A. 24031 of 2022 Prasun Kumar Maity -Vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors.
Mr. Sakti Pada Jana, Mr. Subhajyoti Das, .... For the Petitioner.
Mr. Jaydip Banerjee, ... For the State.
Dr. Sutanu Kumar Patra, Ms. Supriya Dubey, ... For the WBCSSC.
The petitioner participated in the 1st SLST, 2016 for appointment in the post of Assistant Teacher (History) under General category in Upper Primary Level of schools.
The grievance of the petitioner is that only 9 (nine) candidates were called on for personality test against the declared vacancy of 242 (Two hundred forty-two).
It appears from the report of the Commission that in terms of the relevant Rules against the said 242 vacancies, 358 candidates were called for personality test.
Mr. Jana, learned counsel for the petitioner, in his usual fairness submits if that be the position, the petitioner cannot allege any irregularity in the said selection process.
The writ petition therefore fails, accordingly WPA 24031 of 2022 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
