Adv. Ansar Mondal, Adv. Tanweer Jamil Mondal, ...for the State in WPA 30987 of 2024.

Heard learned counsels for the parties.

Perused the reports submitted by the State.

Insofar as WPA 24560 of 2024 is concerned, it appears from the report that the petitioner nos. 7 and 8 have been granted appointment in terms of the notification dated 19th September, 2019 since they were found to have met the required parameters laid down for the appointment.

However, petitioner nos. 1 to 6 have not qualified for the post. The report clearly depicts the procedure for such

appointment and names of all the candidates including the successful ones as well as the criteria laid down for appointment and marks obtained by each of the candidates. The petitioner nos. 1 to 6 have not been appointed since the marks obtained by them were below the cutoff marks. The appointment procedure having been held in a transparent manner, the question of cancellation of the same does not arise.

The writ petition is devoid of any merit and is accordingly dismissed.

Consequently, CAN 1 of 2025 is also dismissed. Insofar as WPA 30987 of 2024 is concerned, learned counsel for the State submits the report in the form of affidavit.

It appears that the petitioners have been appointed as volunteers in Vector Borne Disease Control. Nothing further remains to be decided in the writ petition. The same is accordingly disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
