1. Heard the submissions of both the learned advocates.

2. The main contention of the learned advocate representing the petitioner is that the present petitioner is aged about 80 years and is in custody since long and investigation is still going on and he is willing to cooperate with the investigating authority to its fullest and he will abide by all the conditions.

3. On the other hand, the learned Prosecution raises strong objection.

4. On careful perusal of the entire facts and circumstances, the materials available in the case diary and the serious nature of allegation, this Court is of the view that admittedly, the petitioner is an octogenarian person.

However, since the investigation is going on, at this stage granting of bail may jeopardize the investigation. Therefore, at this stage, it is not necessary to grant bail.

5. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
