Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for a total period of two years six months and a period of one year eight months after the bail was cancelled by the Hon'ble High Court. Petitioner submits that 9 witnesses out of the proposed 30 witnesses have been examined till date. As such there is no possibility of the trial being concluded in near future.

Mr. Sur, learned advocate appearing for the State on instructions submits that prosecution will examine only 15 witnesses in total in support of its case.

Consequently, the 6 witnesses are left to be examined, it is directed that the prosecution will complete their examination by 30th of March, 2026.

In case the State is unable to complete such evidence, the learned trial Court will release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, CRM (M) 1993 of 2025 is disposed of with the aforesaid directions.

It is further directed that no unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties and the trial of the case would continue in spite of the resolution of the local bar. Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
