The petitioner's case is that the appeal pending before the Appellate Authority and District Magistrate, Malda has not been disposed of within the period as prescribed.

Learned counsel for the State has placed a report wherein it appears that next date of hearing has been fixed on 31st October, 2025.

The petitioner is granted liberty to appear before the Appellate Authority on 31st October, 2025at 12.00 p.m. and the Appellate Authority shall make all endeavour to dispose of the appeal preferably within thirty days on and from 31st October, 2025.

The writ petition is disposed of.
