Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner had to lodge a second complaint to have the FIR registered before the police station. However, no investigation is being done despite passage of significant period of time.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State denies the allegations of police inaction, relies the report and submits that investigation is going on. Statements have been recorded.

Searches have been conducted including surveillance through CDR tower location and the like. It appears that the police have taken some action in

investigating the case. However, some time has already lapsed.

Let the investigation be concluded as expeditiously as possible and in accordance with law.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
