1. The petitioners claim that the private respondents are violating an order of status quo passed by the learned Civil Judge (Senior Division), Chanchal, Malda in P.S. No. 100 of 2020.

2. The petitioners may obtain appropriate clarification of the order of status quo and specific directions on Harishchandrapur Police Station, Malda in this regard.

3. The report of the Harishchandrapur Police Station dated 20th November, 2022 in the form of instructions addressed to the Government Pleader, High Court, Calcutta filed in Court today be taken on record.

4. The police have already registered FIRs being Nos.418 of 2020, 100 of 2020, 416 of 2020 and 418 of 2020 in this regard and charge-sheets have been filed in two of such FIRs.

5. The police have already taken up proceedings under Section 107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

6. The dispute appears to be between the co-sharers of a property.

7. Harishchandrapur Police Station shall, however, ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area and shall strictly comply with any order specifically passed on them by the Civil Court.

8. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

9. There will be no order as to costs.
