20.04.2026 Court No.28 Item No. 319 tbsr CRM (A) 3522 of 2025 CRAN 1 of 2025 In Re: - In Re: - An application for relaxation of condition of anticipatory bail in connection with Asansol North P.S. Case No.384 of 2025 dated 04.08.2025 under Sections 85, 316(2), 115(2), 117(2), 89, 351(2), 3(5) of the BNS and 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

And In the matter of: Indradeb Prasad & Ors.

....Petitioners.

Mr. Sagar Saha Ms. Nayana Mukhopadhyay ....for the petitioners Mr. Raju Mondal ....for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. The petitioners' prayer for anticipatory bail was allowed by an order dated 17.11.2025 passed in CRM (A) 3522 of 2025 inter alia on the condition of furnishing a bond of Rs. 10, 000/- each with two sureties of local amount each, one of whom must be local. The petitioners are the residents of Jalpaiguri and the case was started in Asansol. It was difficult to find local surety there. So, the petitioners could not furnish bond with local surety and obtain bail. Heard the learned counsel for the State.

It appears that as the petitioners are the residents of another place, they could not furnish local sureties. In view of the above and in the interest of justice, the condition of furnishing local surety is relaxed and instead, the petitioners shall be entitled to furnish registered sureties. As the time of surrender has already been elapsed, let the petitioners surrender before the learned

jurisdictional Court and pray for bail within three weeks from this date.

With these observations, CRAN 1 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for.
