The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the Belda Police has not investigate into an FIR with regard to his missing daughter.

The Officer-in-Charge, Belda Police Station, Paschim Medinipur has filed a report dated 13th November 2022 and the same is taken on record. It appears from the report that progress has been made into the investigation of this matter. A team of police is being sent to Chennai where the victim girl was last located.

The prayer for remand of one of the accused was rejected by the Magistrate and he was enlarged on bail. As many as five witnesses have been examined by the police, and petitioner's statement under Section 164 of the CrPC has been recorded.

Let the investigation into the FIR in question be completed as expeditiously as possible.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
