For the Applicants-Petitioners Mr. Chandi Charan De Mr. Anirban Sarkar .... For the alleged Contemnor On prayer of the applicants-petitioners liberty is granted to incorporate the name of the District Magistrate and Land Acquisition Collector, South 24 Parganas in the cause title of the application. Affidavit of compliance in so far as the first alleged contemnor is concerned is taken on record. It appears that the first alleged contemnor has complied with the order under contempt.

Accordingly, the contempt proceeding is dropped in so far as the first alleged contemnor is concerned.

Since the second alleged contemnor being the District Magistrate and Land Acquisition Collector, South 24 Parganas is required to take further steps for direct purchase of the property in question, the applicants-petitioners are directed to serve copy of the application along with annexure thereto upon him and file affidavit of service on the adjourned date. The second alleged contemnor shall take necessary steps for compliance of the order under contempt in its entirety and file affidavit of compliance on the adjourned date. The matter is adjourned.
