The petitioner is running a nursing centre in the name and style of Bansal Nursing Care at premises no. 20, Dobson Road, P.S. Golabari, P.O. Howrah, District- Howrah. 2.

The petitioner has applied for grant of fire licence before the concerned authority on October 4, 2025 but in spite of the receipt of the representation, till date the authorities have not provided the fire licence to the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent nos. 2 and 3 for consideration of the representation dated October 4, 2025 for issuance of the fire licence.

Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court finds that the petitioner has already made a representation to the concerned authority for grant of fire licence for running the nursing centre under the name and style of Bansal Nursing Centre. 4.

Accordingly, the respondent nos. 2 and 3 are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner for grant of fire licence after giving opportunity of hearing to

the petitioner and to pass a reasoned and speaking order within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

If at the time of hearing, the authorities find that the petitioner is required to comply with some other formalities for grant of fire licence, the authorities can provide sufficient time to the petitioner to complete all the formalities for grant of fire licence.

WPA 23941 of 2025 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all the necessary formalities.
