The father of the petitioner expired on 9th May, 2002. Thereafter I find some correspondences, mostly of 2018, in respect of Right to Information Act and I find that the petitioner has come before this court after about 17 years from the death of his father for redressal of his grievance. He has already spent without the service for the last 17 years. In fact, the documents annexed in this application show that the petitioner after 2003 resurfaced in 2018 and maintained a silence for 15 years.

Mr. Dhole, learned advocate for the State, submits that in the meantime, as it appears from the documents annexed to the writ petition, the petitioner has abandoned his claim and his claim cannot be considered.

I accept the submission of Mr. Dhole and I find no merit in the writ application. Had there been any real

financial crisis in the family of the petitioner after his father's death in May, 2002, the petitioner's whole action claiming compassionate appointment would have been different.

Hence, the writ application is dismissed.
