The petitioner alleges that the authorities of the Shyamsundar Gram Panchayat has not issued the 'No Objection' in respect of conversion of the land of the petitioner under the provisions of Section 4(C) of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955.

Mr.

Mukherjee, learned senior advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner, submits that a representation has been made before the pradhan of the Shyamsundar Gram Panchayat with a request to the authority to issue the 'No Objection' in accordance with law.

The writ petition is disposed of, with a direction upon the pradhan of the Shyamsundar Gram Panchayat to dispose of the representation being annexure P/4 to the writ petition appearing at page 95 of the writ petition in accordance with law

after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. The decision should be passed and communicated to the petitioner within a period of three weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If there are any reasons for not granting such 'No Objection', then the same shall be communicated to the petitioner within the aforementioned period. The writ petition is, thus, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
