Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the representation of the petitioner to hold Durga Puja has not been considered by the respondent police authorities.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State files a report, which is taken on record. She relies on the same and submits that there is no provision for the police authorities to give permission for such Durga Puja. An application has to be made at the relevant government portal meant for such purpose.
The writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to apply for permission to hold Durga Puja on the said online portal of the government.
In the event, such an application is made, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.
