As prayed for, leave is granted to the learned advocate for the petitioner to add the Nadia District Primary School Council as party respondent to the writ petition; copy of the writ petition be served upon Mr. Arindam Chattopadhyay, advocate, who usually appears for the said added party.
The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher at Sarada Vidyaniketan, a school under Halisahar Circle of North 24 Parganas District Primary School Council. She is suffering from blood cancer, as such is praying transfer to any school at her home district at Nadia.
Online application of the petitioner for such transfer under Utsashree portal was allowed, but the portal since is under suspension her prayer could not be finally processed.
Leave is granted to the petitioner to file an offline application to the Chairman of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education praying such transfer.
The Board shall obtain the necessary inputs from the concerned District Primary School Councils regarding the prayer of the petitioner and shall process her such prayer in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the said offline application.
WPA 24722 of 2024 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
